TAIPEI, TAIWAN — Gaming enthusiasts from across the globe gathered in Taipei for the highly anticipated Taipei Game Show 2025, held from January 23 to 26. The convention was filled with 370,000 visitors from all over the world, with the Indie House section standing out as a hub for creativity and innovation. The Indie Game Awards, the annual indie game competition hosted by Taipei Game Show, recognized outstanding indie titles from around the globe, with several finalists from Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the Indie Wavemakers, a new IP from GameStart Asia, played a key role in providing developers with a platform to showcase their games to a wider audience through a streaming program.

Attendees were also able to play Snake.io on its first console version—the Nintendo Switch. The game’s simple yet strategic mechanics appealed to a wide audience, from casual players to competitive gamers looking for their next challenge. Piano Tiles 2 garnered attention for its fast-paced rhythm gameplay, keeping music lovers engaged throughout the event.
