Snake.io PC Gameplay and Controls

Snake.io’s upcoming PC version preserves the core gameplay that players from other devices enjoy. According to the game’s Steam page and screenshots, matches will still revolve around starting small, collecting pellets, and growing into a larger threat as the arena fills with rival snakes.

Speed boosts will also return, giving players a way to make quick moves or cut off opponents at the cost of some of their own size. The port will also feature boost cubes scattered around the arena, along with boost portals designed to help players climb the leaderboard faster.

For controls, PC players will be able to steer using the WASD keys, while the space bar activates the speed boost. Pressing Tab will collapse the leaderboard, giving players more screen space when they want a clearer view of the action. The Steam version also supports Xbox and PlayStation controllers and makes full use of Steam Input API.

Cosmetics and Multiplayer Features

The Steam version of Snake.io will feature more than 200 cosmetic items, giving players plenty of ways to customize their snakes. The selection includes a variety of skins alongside wearable accessories such as hats and wings, allowing players to mix up their look as they slither in the arena.

The PC release will also retain Snake.io’s social features. Players can invite up to four friends to join them through Party Mode, or create a Snake Club with up to 20 members for a more regular group of players to team up with. Cross-play between Steam and mobile will also be supported, meaning friends will be able to play together across devices and players won’t be limited to matching with others on the same platform.

Additionally, Snake.io will also support 24 interface languages on Steam to make the game accessible to players across a wide range of regions.
