Survivor
The Survivor is the classic “play it safe” type of character who prioritizes staying alive and climbing the leaderboards steadily. This Snake.io player roams the arena collecting small pellets to gradually increase its size while waiting for easy kills or leftovers from nearby snake clashes.
Patient and cautious, the Survivor lives by the “slowly but surely” approach. It may not be the flashiest playstyle, but it is undeniably effective.

Hunter
The exact opposite of the Survivor, the Hunter is a “high risk, high reward” archetype focused on taking down as many snakes as possible to climb the leaderboard quickly. This Snake.io player chases down its targets relentlessly and uses aggressive cutoffs to bait opponents into collisions.
Patience is not in the Hunter’s vocabulary. They are more than willing to challenge much larger snakes for the potential to score a massive pellet pile and make a rapid jump up the rankings.

Trapper
The Trapper is a calculated and strategic player who relies on coiling to score kills. Instead of chasing opponents across the arena, this Snake.io player looks for opportunities to surround smaller snakes, cut off escape routes, and slowly constrict its target.
By narrowing the space where the coiled snake can move around, they can force a collision without putting themselves at too much risk.

Controller
Typically reserved for much larger snakes, the Controller uses its size and positioning to dominate large sections of the arena. Rather than actively chasing down opponents, this Snake.io player blocks pathways and crowds the arena with its body to make it difficult for other snakes to move freely.
Taking up space and limiting movement area puts heavy pressure on other snakes into making costly mistakes.
The right playstyle to use is largely situational. Some matches may call for a more cautious approach, while other runs would benefit from aggression, patience, or smart positioning. You might lean toward one type or switch between a few depending on the situation.
